4 Healthy beverages we love!

Detox drinks have become the buzz word. Mindful eating and drinking has been on the rise as per the Godrej Food Trends 2018 Report! People are paying attention to what goes into their glasses and switching to healthy beverages that hydrate and cleanse at the same time. 

Here is the list of our favourite detoxifying beverages.

Fruit-infused water
When you feel drained and need a healthy drink that not only energises but also tastes good, flavoured water becomes the best choice. Naturally flavoured water is easy to make at home and can be made with multiple fruits and herbs. Watermelon rosemary, raspberry lime and pineapple mint are some of the made-for-each-other combinations. Flavoured water has an immediate cooling effect on the body. These beverages motivate you to drink more water and stay hydrated the entire day.

Cold-pressed juice
No added sugar and zero preservatives – juices could not get any better (and healthier) than this. A cold-pressed juice is processed such that it retains all its nutrients and becomes the purest form of juice available. It has numerous health benefits: detoxifying, immune system strengthening and anti-ageing are just a few of them. The cold-pressed category of detox drinks, a recent addition in India, is already becoming a people’s favourite.

Detox tea
Tea has wake-me-up properties which make people addicted to it. Therefore, detox tea is a good way to enjoy this addictive drink while making sure the body is getting fitter by the day. Healthy versions of our traditional chai like green tea and lemon tea have already earned a permanent spot in our pantry. However, the concept of detox tea is still in its nascent stage.


Detox smoothie
This smoothie is not just a drink; it’s a complete meal in itself. Detox smoothies are filling, tasty and extremely healthy. A basic detox smoothie is made with raw leafy greens and fruits. However, you can mix-and-match ingredients — fruits, leafy vegetables, nuts, curd, milk, berries, coconut water, rolled oats, spices and so on — with each version ensuring complete nourishment to the body. While preparing these blends, remember to use fruits and greens that are organic — they’ll make the detoxifying task easier for your body.
