The genesis of Vikhroli Cucina was the result of the Godrej vision to bring all its brands operating in the food category together. The aim was to create an ecosystem where chefs, bloggers, influencers, food lovers and others can collaborate to engage, exchange new ideas, gain insights and make new connections with each other.

The dream manifested into a first-of-its-kind collaborative event which was graced by some of India’s distinguished chefs, including the man who brought television into India’s kitchens, Sanjeev Kapoor; the multi-talented Vicky Ratnani; the energetic Harpal Singh Sokhi; the debonair Ranveer Brar; food stylist Michael Swamy; and one of India’s premier celebrity gastronomes and bloggers Rushina Munshaw Ghildiyal.

Over 50 influencers turned up for the event and engaged with many popular brands in the food space, viz., Godrej Tyson, Godrej Nature’s Basket, Godrej Appliances, Godrej Interio and Cartini, Weber Grills and Grover Zampa, through interactive and fun foodie games. Active participation by all turned the soiree festive.

The first Vikhroli Cucina event was held on 31st January 2015 at the Godrej Vikhroli campus. The Godrej Group along with the Food Bloggers Association of India (FBAI), Weber Grills and Grover Zampa hosted it.

What’s Next
To spur on the enthusiasm, Vikhroli Cucina aims to continue to catalyse the engagement through this blog and curate events at regular intervals. The blog space is open to all food lovers, and is a smorgasbord of chef perspectives, new recipes, food blogger experiences and other gastronomic delights. We would love to have experts in the space as guest bloggers to share interesting developments and experiences with our readers.
